Buyers always ask

What is the difference between completing the training and obtaining the PECB certificate?+

Completing the two-day training course results in an attestation of course completion worth 14 CPD credits, issued to participants who attended. This is separate from the PECB Certificate Holder credential.

To obtain the credential, a participant must separately pass the PECB exam covering the two competency domains and then submit a certificate application to PECB that meets their certification requirements.

What competency domains does the PECB ISO 22301 Foundation exam assess?+

The exam covers two domains: Domain 1 addresses fundamental principles and concepts of a BCMS, while Domain 2 addresses ISO 22301 requirements for a BCMS.

Candidates should review the PECB List of Exams and the Examination Rules and Policies for details on exam format, duration, and available languages.

Is any prior experience in business continuity required to join this course?+

No prior experience or formal prerequisites are required. The course is designed to introduce participants to business continuity concepts and ISO 22301 from the ground up.

Participants with existing knowledge in related fields such as risk management or information security will also find the content accessible and relevant.

What CPD value does attending this training provide?+

Participants who attend the training course receive an attestation of completion worth 14 CPD credits, which can support professional development records and continuing education requirements.

The attestation reflects attendance and engagement with the programme content, not the outcome of any exam.

Who should consider progressing to a higher-level ISO 22301 course after completing this foundation training?+

Individuals who want to implement a BCMS within their organisation should consider the ISO 22301 Lead Implementer course, while those focused on auditing BCMS conformity should look at the ISO 22301 Lead Auditor programme.

Both advanced courses expect participants to have a foundational understanding of business continuity concepts, which this training is designed to provide.
